Deborah Leoni – Executive Director & Co-Founder
After her husband, Dennis Leoni survived two catastrophic strokes in 2016, Deborah told him that she felt he may have a higher calling. As time passed and Dennis slowly but surely improved through the healing power of golf, the idea of the higher calling began to gel, and Recovery Shot was born. Years of nonprofit executive experience prepared Deborah well to serve as the new nonprofit’s Executive Director; five years as Executive Director of The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors; four years as Key Agent for The Bob and Dolores Hope Trust benefitting The Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation; and a year with the Latino Theater Company as Development Director.
Prior to her nonprofit career, Deborah enjoyed a long career in the television industry as a high-level network executive, development executive and writer and producer. Today, she is grateful to be surrounded by friends and family as together they build Recovery Shot so that others can enjoy the gift of healing through golf.
