Recovery Shots for Vets at Spanish Hills Club

On-Course Buddy Program

In golf, a recovery shot is a chance to overcome obstacles and get back in the game. Recovery Shot offers that same opportunity in life through free, on-course golf outings for individuals recovering from injury, illness, or trauma, as well as those with special needs or abilities. More than a game, golf is a path to healing, confidence, and connection, helping players take their next shot in life.

Recovery Shots for Vets

Recovery Shots for Vets is a free therapeutic golf program for veterans with PTSD or other service-related injuries or challenges. Through clinics and long-term on-course play with a buddy, veterans find camaraderie and a renewed sense of community in a safe and supportive environment. The program is offered at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, CA, and at the Seabee Course on the Navy Base in Port Hueneme, CA.

Youth Golf Program

Recovery Shot’s Youth Golf Program is broadening horizons for young players with little or no access to the game. In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard/Port Hueneme, we introduce underserved children to the joy of golf. Recovery Shot also sponsors Swing for Fun, a SNAG golf experience, for children on the spectrum at The Autism Society of Ventura County’s annual Carnival in the Park in Thousand Oaks, CA.
