Dan Aldrich was a top high school golfer with plans to play in college. He was also on the US National Team as a competitive water ski racer. Two weeks before he graduated high school, Dan crashed going 100 mph in a water ski race, resulting in the complete paralysis of his left arm. As an avid athlete, he was playing golf within a month of his accident, snow skiing within five months and water skiing the next year. All these years later, Dan still loves sports and competing but gets his greatest joy serving as President of the North American One-Armed Golfer Association, Board Member of the US Adaptive Golf Alliance and currently serves as the USAGA Competitions Committee Chairperson, setting policy for adaptive golf tournaments in the USA and administering the USAGA Ranking system for Adaptive Golfers.
